Whimsical elves bring smiles to the holidays with four new se tenant stamps from the U.S. Postal Service.The stamp art features an original digital illustration of four elves preparing treats and toys for holiday gift giving.
The artist firstsketched his design and then created the final illustration digitally. Working with a simple color palette of red, white, and shades ofgreen and brown, he evokes the holiday spirit in the playful, happy scene.
Like many beloved yet relatively modern holiday traditions–including Santa Claus himself–elves did not become a well-established part of the holidays in the United States until the 19th century.
In the 20th century, Norman Rockwell, Haddon Sundblom, and other artists featured elves in some of their popular seasonalillustrations. Holiday Elves were pictured as tiny, pointy-eared, jolly creatures, usually dressed in stocking caps and festive outfitsand always busy with chores for Santa–just as we envision them today.
Don Clark was the stamp designer and artist. Antonio Alcalá was the art director.The Holiday Elves stamps are being issued as Forever@ stamps in booklets of 20.

| Among the stamps of the new zodiac series launched in 2020, the Year of the Ox stamp is the second. The first set of Zodiac stamps was issued between 1992 and 2005, and the second set between 2008 and 2019.
The mask design on the stamp incorporates symbolic elements. Some of these patterns are made in the style of Asian textiles. Purple flowers represent the arrival of spring. In Chinese culture, the Lunar New Year also marks the arrival of spring. The star in the center of the bull's head represents the celestial phenomena of the Chinese zodiac.
Art director Antonio Alcalá designed the stamp with original artwork by Camille Chew. Sold in blocks of 20, the Forever stamp will always be worth the current 1-ounce price of first-class mail.
The Year of the Ox begins on February 12, 2021 and ends on January 31, 2022. People born in the same year are believed to have the same personality traits and other attributes as the zodiac they belong to. For example, the belief holds that the Ox and people born in the year of the Ox are honest, hardworking and very dependable.
There are many traditions in welcoming a new year that brings good luck and prosperity. In communities across the U.S., people shop for holiday food and other supplies, hang decorations and ceremoniously clean their homes to usher in a new year.

With the 2025 U.S, Flag stamp, the U.S. Postal Service continues its long tradition of honoring the flag of the UnitedStates. The stamp is available in booklets of 20, panes of 20, and coils of 100, 3,000, and 10,000.

| With this stamp, the U.S. Postal Service celebrates Toni Morrison (1931-2019), whose artfully crafted novels explored the diverse voices and multifaceted experiences of African Americans.
Morrison was the rare author who achieved both bestseller status and critical success. In her later novels, including Paradise(1998), Love (2003), A Mercy (2008), Home (2012), and God Help the Child (2015), she continued to experiment with language andpush the possibilities of storytelling.
Art director Ethel Kessler designed this stamp with a photograph by Deborah Feingold.

| The fondest holiday memories often include the scent of warm ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and molasses used in gingerbread drifting throughout the house. With a little imagination and a lot of patience, gingerbread can be converted into a whimsical house decorated with stiff royal icing and sparkling candies.
Building gingerbread houses today can be as simple as buying kits or as complex as constructing small buildings from scratch, giving people of all skill levels the chance to create joyous holiday memories.
Baker Teresa Layman created the gingerbread houses specifically for these stamps. Sally Andersen-Bruce photographed them and art director Derry Noyes designed the stamps.
