Over the last six decades, fast and fun pony cars have become a uniquely American obsession. Since their emergence, theseperformance coupes and convertibles have brought a youthful spirit to the automotive world.
These stamps celebrate five iconic U.S. automobiles–the1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302, the 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T,the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, the 1967 Mercury CougarXR-7 GT, and the 1969 AMC Javelin SST. | In 2013, the U.S. Postal Service® proudly presents A Flag for All Seasons, featuring four different stamp designs. Each stamp shows an American flag, viewed from below, flying from a pole at full staff against a background of trees that evoke one of the four seasons of the year.
Artist Laura Stutzman worked with art director and stamp designer Phil Jordan on this stamp art.

| The California dogface graces the seventh non-machineable butterfly stamp for use on irregularly sized envelopes, such as square greeting cards, invitations, or announcements.
The stamp art was digitally created using images of preserved butterflies as a starting point.
The result is a highly stylized, simplified image of a California dogface (Zerene eurydice) rather than an exact replica.
Nationally known artist Tom Engeman created the stamp art. Art director Derry Noyes designed the stamp.

| This stamp design features a photograph of the flag that flies over Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine in Baltimore, MD. This flag is a replica of the one that inspired Francis Scott Key to write “The Star-Spangled Banner” after realizing Fort McHenry had withstood the British attack of Sept.13-14, 1814.
The picture of the flag was taken against a backdrop of fireworks during an annual celebration of Defenders’ Day, a legal holiday in the state of Maryland commemorating the successful defense of the city of Baltimore on Sept. 12, 1814 from an invading British force during the War of 1812.
Photographer Gary Clark said it was a challenge to get the fireworks and the flag in the same shot and that “the wind picked up quite a bit that night.” Art director Phil Jordan designed the stamp.

| With this stamp, the U.S. Postal Service celebrates Toni Morrison (1931-2019), whose artfully crafted novels explored the diverse voices and multifaceted experiences of African Americans.
Morrison was the rare author who achieved both bestseller status and critical success. In her later novels, including Paradise(1998), Love (2003), A Mercy (2008), Home (2012), and God Help the Child (2015), she continued to experiment with language andpush the possibilities of storytelling.
Art director Ethel Kessler designed this stamp with a photograph by Deborah Feingold.
The Toni Morrison stamp is being issued as a Forever® stamp in panes of 20. This Forever stamp is always equal in value to thecurrent First-Class Mail® one-ounce price.
